VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — A man wanted in a criminal trespass case and for assaulting officers was found and arrested after posting a video of himself dancing on social media on Sept. 16.

Valdosta Police (VPD) officers allege 21-year-old Jordan Malik Miller was asked to leave a home in the 1000 block of Sheppard Street. When Miller refused, the homeowner called 911 to have him removed with a criminal trespass warning. Miller was removed from the property sometime after 3:15 p.m., according to the incident report.

The homeowner called 911 again around 5:15 p.m. to report continued harassment. Police said Miller returned to the area and drove by the home several times. Miller came back to the house, looked in windows, and unplugged the home’s security system, according to police.

While filing a second report at the home, officers noticed Miller driving by once again. Miller resisted arrest during a traffic stop. One handcuff was put on his wrist before he assaulted the officers and escaped custody. One officer was hit in the face several times, while another was pushed to the ground.

Several warrants were issued for Miller’s arrest, including: • 2 counts of obstruction of a law enforcement officer by use of threats or violence—felony • Criminal trespass after notice—misdemeanor • Stalking—misdemeanor • Theft by taking—misdemeanor

Miller posted a video on social media, dancing with a handcuff on one of his wrists. VPD investigators used the video to locate him at a home in the 600 block of East Brookwood Drive. Miller was found hiding in a kitchen cabinet, according to officers.

“We have no idea what this offender had in mind when he returned to a residence, after being told not to by police. Not only did he return, but he was seen looking through windows and unplugging cameras. To evade arrest, he physically assaulted our officers and ran. Thankfully, he took time out of his morning to post a video of himself, in what he may call self-expression, but what we call evidence, which helped our persistent officers to locate him and finish the arrest. We are very lucky that our officer only received minor injuries to her face during his assault on her

One of the officers suffered superficial injuries to the face, according to VPD. Miller is being held in the Lowndes County Jail.
