ATKINSON COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Republican incumbent James D. Burchett is seeking re-election after serving District 176 in the State House since 2019. In just weeks, he’ll face off against fellow Republican, Michael Dockery in the May Primary. Whoever wins the republican party’s nomination on May 19 will run against Democrat Marcus Ryan in November.

Georgia House of Representatives District 176 includes Atkinson, Lanier, Coffee, Lowndes and Ware counties.
