Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - If you’re tired of the cold, you’re in luck — above normal temperatures are forecast through at least Saturday.
Ridging builds over the central and southern Gulf, allowing for warmer than normal temperatures to take over this week. Daytime highs will warm into the middle to upper 70’s Tuesday and Wednesday before surging into the 80’s Thursday through Saturday. Record highs are generally between 83 and 86 degrees and have the potential of being tied or broken later this week.
A bit of uncertainty with the models when it comes to rain chances for the rest of the week. Isolated chances are possible mid-week with the anticipation that an umbrella will be needed by the end of the work week and start of the weekend due to an approaching cold front. The ultimate timing will dictate temperatures after the front passes.

Beneficial rain that fell across the area Sunday wasn’t nearly enough to alleviate the ongoing drought. With the a approaching front at the end of the week there is a medium chance of picking up more than a half inch of rain.
