ECHOLS COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a residential burglary on Highway 129 North in Statenville, according to Echols County Sheriff Courson.

On July 15, 2026, deputies with the Echols County Sheriff’s Office responded to the reported burglary, where cash, personal belongings, and two firearms were stolen from the home.

Following an investigation, authorities arrested and charged three suspects:

• Gary Shannon Moore – Charged with felony Party to the Crime (Burglary) and felony False Statements.
• Matthew Price – Charged with felony Burglary in the First Degree.
• William Watts – Charged with felony Burglary in the First Degree.

As part of the joint investigation, investigators from Echols and Lowndes counties executed a search warrant at a residence in Lowndes County, where one of the suspects was arrested.

During the search, deputies recovered a firearm matching the make and model of one of the stolen weapons.

Investigators are currently awaiting official verification to confirm it is the stolen firearm.
