CCA’s Arabelle Roberts grabbed her own offensive rebound off a missed free throw and converted the basket to send the Patriots into overtime in a semifinal game. Roberts finished with 41 points.
No. 4: Cole takes it to the bucket
Freshman Justyce Cole crossed defenders on her way to the basket for the Lady Bulldogs, who advanced to the quarterfinals.
No. 3: Masters beats the halftime buzzer
Sally Masters of Terrell Academy hit a floater just before the halftime buzzer. Terrell Academy went on to win the state championship.
No. 2: Johnson clears seven feet
Jamari Johnson cleared seven feet in the high jump to lead the state. That height also places him second in the country.
No. 1: Hudson’s game winner — Carpet World Play of the Week
Mitchell County’s Jadarian Hudson hit a game-winning shot against Greene County. Hudson also recorded a steal on the defensive end.
