BEN HILL COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — According to the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO), a man was pulled over by deputies on Monday, June 1, after the vehicle left a known gang hangout location.
BHCSO said deputies spotted the driver trying to hide a pill bottle containing 54 colorful tablets. He was also found with marijuana, officials said.
The driver was identified as a gang member with Gangster Disciple. BHSCO did not release his name.
He was arrested and transported to the Ben Hill County Jail, officials said. He is reportedly facing charges related to trafficking fentanyl, distribution of MDMA, possession of marijuana and participation in criminal street gang activity.
BHCSO said this investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
