JACKSON COUNTY, FL (WTVY) -Things could have turned out much worse when a passenger car collided with a semi hauling dozens of cattle on Friday.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol statement, the vehicles were traveling west on Interstate 10 near Marianna when the semi sideswiped the car, sending the semi onto an embankment, where it overturned.
Wrecker crews stabilized the trailer to prevent it from tipping and removed the big rig and the trailer carrying 89 heads of cattle without further incident, FHP said.
The passenger car’s occupants from Quincy were treated at a nearby medical facility for what the Florida Highway Patrol described as minor injuries.
