ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Two people were injured in a moped crash on Gillionville Road, according to Albany police.

The crash happened around 11:58 a.m. Monday when a moped traveling eastbound on Gillionville Road attempted to make a left turn into a business and failed to yield the right of way. The moped was then struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Gillionville Road.

Both individuals riding on the moped sustained injuries and were transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officials say both victims are listed in stable condition.

No additional details have been released at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
