ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - [UPDATE: 4/2/26 @ 1:24 PM] – The Albany Police Department (APD) has released new details in the Force Drive incident.
APD says the case was first considered a suspicious death. An autopsy was performed on 64-year-old Geoffrey Reidnauer on March 30.
The medical examiner later ruled the death a suicide, with no foul play suspected.

[ORIGINAL: 3/29/26 @6:31 PM] - A man was shot and killed Sunday, March 29 on Force Drive.
According to the Dougherty County Coroner’s Office, they are calling this a ‘suspicious shooting incident’.
Coroner Michael Fowler said Geoffrey Reidnauer, 64, died from a gunshot wound.
The shooting remains under investigation.
