ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -The Upland Wildlife Festival returns Saturday, April 18, celebrating Georgia’s native habitats with hands-on wildlife experiences at Chehaw Park & Zoo.
The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with half-price zoo admission. The festival is included with park admission and is free for members.
Families can explore rattlesnakes, birds of prey, gopher frogs, and more. A kids’ zone features face painting, crafts, bounce houses, and a seed bar.
The event includes live music, local artisans, food trucks, a native plant sale, and a tree giveaway. Reptile and bird of prey shows are scheduled throughout the day, along with a live controlled burn demonstration using drone technology.
