Description
SUMTER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A vehicle ended up partially submerged in Philema Pond after a crash Sunday at Hooks Mill Road and Indian Road.
Sumter County Fire Rescue responded to the accident and found the vehicle in the water, officials said. The department’s dive team searched for possible victims.
Officials later determined the driver had self-extricated and left the scene before crews arrived.
A local towing service removed the vehicle from the water using a tow strap. No injuries were reported.
