ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Authorities are investigating a homicide that happened overnight at the Bethel Apartments, according to the Albany Police Department (APD).

When police arrived to the scene around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, two men were found outside of the apartment complex with gunshot wounds. APD confirmed that Lovontray Mikal Sims (31) died from his injuries, and another man had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

The fatal shooting is still under investigation. Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS, the Albany Police Department at 229-431-2100, or submit an anonymous tip through the APD App.
