The Angel Tree Program makes sure that every child experiences joy on Christmas morning. Serving a child or senior adult that has been registered and accepted. Their Christmas wish list is shared with donors in the community who purchase gifts of new clothing and toys. The gifts are distributed to the family to place under their family Christmas tree.

Captain Chris Powell said the partnership with Toys for Tots in Albany allows them to support nearly six families, putting toys under their tree for Christmas Day.

“The biggest thing we do here in Albany is try to handle the clothes pieces, diapers to help them out. I don’t think if we were in a different location it would be any different. You would be averaging anywhere from three to four to six hundred kids,” Powell said.
