IRWINVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - A man wanted out of Tift County was arrested in Irwinville and is now facing additional drug-related charges, according to the South Central Drug Task Force.

Agents with the task force said they located and arrested an Irwin County man who had outstanding warrants from Tift County. During the arrest, investigators reportedly recovered suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Officials said the suspect was charged with additional offenses related to the drugs and paraphernalia discovered during the encounter. The suspect’s name and specific charges have not yet been released.

In a social media post, the South Central Drug Task Force stated it will continue working alongside partner agencies to target illegal narcotics activity and keep dangerous drugs off local streets.

The investigation remains ongoing.
