ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Many cities across Southwest Georgia (SWGA) will be opening warming centers ahead of the frigid temperatures.

Coffee County:

• Douglas Police Department
  • 225 West Bryan Street
  • 5 p.m. until 8 a.m. Open now.

Crisp County:

• Crisp County Recreation Department
  • 1205 5th Street North
  • The warming center will open on Jan. 26 at 6.p.m. Closing times may vary depending on temperatures.

Decatur County:

• Skate Towne
  • 725 Wright Street, Bainbridge
  • Open Jan. 26 from 7 p.m. until 8 a.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 7 p.m. until 8 a.m.
  • The business is also accepting donations to support those seeking shelter.

Dougherty County:

• Albany Transit Center
  • 300 West Oglethorpe Boulevard
  • 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Open now until Feb. 4

Grady County:

• Good Samaritan Shelter at Bethlehem AME Church
  • 412 2nd Street Southwest, Cairo
  • Opened Jan. 26 at 6 a.m.

Lowndes County:

• The Woman’s Building
  • 1409 North Patterson Street
  • Open Jan. 26 through Feb. 4 at 6 p.m.

Sumter County:

• Plains Baptist Church
• First Baptist Church
  • 221 South Lee Street
  • Open Monday and Tuesday nights
• Calvary Episcopal Church
  • 408 South Lee Steet
  • Open Jan. 28 until Jan. 29
• Friendship Baptist Church

Thomas County:

• Fountain of Life Rescue Shelter
  • 612 East Clay Street, Thomasville
  • Opens at 6 p.m. Jan. 26 through Jan. 28

Tift County:

• First Baptist Church Gymnasium
  • 404 Love Avenue, Tifton
  • Opens at 6 p.m. Jan. 26 and Jan. 27
