LEESBURG, Ga. (WALB) - A Wawa is coming to Lee County soon.

The store will be open on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 1384 US Hwy 82 W in Leesburg.

The first 100 customers will get free T-shirts. Additionally, customers get any size hot coffee for free through Nov. 2.

The Leesburg location marks the 10th store in Georgia. According to Wawa, over the next five to eight years, over 26 additional locations are planned to be built in the state.

The chain said that each store will employ 35 employees on average.

In November 2024, Wawa opened its first Georgia location in Bainbridge.
