ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — One person is in critical condition after a shooting incident Thursday, March 26, afternoon on Georgia Avenue in Albany, according to the Albany Police Department (APD).

Shots were reportedly fired in the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue at about 2:15 p.m.

APD confirmed that a 25-year-old man was shot. He was taken to Phoebe Putney for treatment and is in critical condition, APD said.

No further details were released. APD said updates will be provided as new information becomes available.

This comes after two other shootings were reported in Albany on Wednesday night. In one case, a 19-year-old man died. In the other, a son shot and injured his father in an argument.
