ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A lucky Georgia Lottery player recently won $1 million on a scratch-off ticket bought at an Acworth gas station.

The Jackpots Galore ticket was purchased at the Shell Food Mart off Baker Road NW. The player claimed their winnings on Thursday.

Proceeds from the Georgia Lottery fund the state’s HOPE scholarship and pre-k programs.
