Description
VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — Two men are under arrest after a shooting that left an 18-year-old grazed by a bullet and several homes hit by gunfire, Valdosta police said.
E-911 received multiple calls just after 10 p.m. Wednesday about shots fired on the 1700 block of Forsyth Place. Witnesses gave descriptions of people running from the scene.
Officers found an 18-year-old with a graze wound to his arm. He was treated and released on scene.
A responding officer later spotted two men matching those descriptions. Police said one, 24-year-old Jalen Prester, had a handgun in his waistband and ran before being caught with help from a K-9.
Investigators also identified 17-year-old Darian Edwards as the suspect who fired toward a house where the victim was standing.
Both are facing multiple felony gun and assault charges. Police said more charges could be coming.
