ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany Police Department (APD) is reminding parents to stay vigilant during Halloween festivities as the holiday approaches in less than two weeks.
The department encourages children to be visible by wearing reflective clothing or holding glow sticks and asks parents to check all candy before consumption. Drivers are asked to slow down and be alert during Halloween night.
Parents should also be aware of a curfew for Halloween night, according to Chief Deputy Wendy Luster.
“Please note that for our city the child curfew for Halloween night is 9 p.m.,” Luster said. “We ask that parents and guardians ensure their young trick or treaters are off the streets by that time.”
APD encourages parents to be with their child throughout the night.
