ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A 20-year-old is recovering after being shot in the early morning of Sept. 26. According to Police Chief Michael Persley the victim was leaving a home in the 1300 block of Bonny View Avenue when an unknown vehicle pulled up from behind him.
Chief Persley said a suspect in the vehicle began shooting at the 20-year-old. APD officers met the victim at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital around 1:53 a.m., officials said. The victim was unable to provide officers with any possible motive for the shooting or the shooter’s identity.
The vehicle was later found in Albany at a home on East Roosevelt Avenue with multiple bullet holes, according to Persley. This is an active APD investigation.
In addition to this case, APD said they are investigating another Sept. 26 shooting that happened on Cedar Avenue.
