ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Crews are working to gather more information following an overnight house fire in West Albany.
According to early reports, the Albany Fire Department was called to a home on Evergreen Drive just after midnight when flames were seen coming from the residence. Firefighters responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze.
Video from the scene shows the home after the fire had been put out, with visible damage. At this time, it is unclear if anyone was inside the home when the fire started, and there is no word yet on any injuries.
Officials have not released what may have caused the fire, and the investigation remains ongoing.
