DAWSON, Ga. (WALB) - The Dawson Police Department (DPD) is asking for the public’s help identifying a person connected to a theft investigation at a local funeral home.

According to a post shared on the Dawson Police Department’s Facebook page, an unknown person entered the property of Albritten Funeral Home on Southeast Cedar Hill Street and removed the battery from a Ford truck parked on the premises.

Police released photos of the individual and are asking anyone who may recognize the person by their clothing or who may have information about the incident to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dawson Police Department at (229) 995-4414.

The investigation remains ongoing.
