ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - An Albany entrepreneur is turning to a drug-free sensory patch that she says has helped reduce pain and stress for herself, her family, and now others in the community.

The product, called Super Patch, uses what the company describes as neuro-haptic technology — a tactile pattern on the surface of the patch that sends signals to the brain when it touches the skin. Supporters say those signals can help improve balance, reduce stress, and ease discomfort without medication or invasive treatment.

Janet Reese, an Albany business owner, said she first tried the patch in hopes of helping her father.

“Honestly, I didn’t want to sell at first. I just wanted to get them to possibly help my dad,” Reese said. “But once I realized it was a change instantly for him, I knew I needed to get into this to help other people.”

Reese said her father used a wheelchair for four years. After wearing the patches, she said he is now able to get up on his own. She said watching others find relief has been emotional.

“It actually brings tears to my eyes because people have been suffering with so many things, and nothing they have taken has been able to help,” she said. “With just a signal going to their brain to tell them how they should be, it’s overwhelming.”

Reese said the patches have brought noticeable improvements to her family, and she hopes to share the product with more people in the Albany area who are seeking non-medicated options for pain and stress relief.
