ATLANTA, Ga. (WALB) - A Georgia man is among the first fugitives featured on the FBI’s newly launched Most Wanted Fraudsters List, a nationwide effort to identify and locate individuals accused of carrying out major fraud schemes against Americans.
The FBI announced the new list on Thursday, highlighting fugitives charged with defrauding victims of millions of dollars.

Among those featured is Christopher W. Burns, who is wanted for his alleged role in a mail fraud scheme in Georgia.
According to the FBI, Burns is accused of defrauding dozens of victims out of at least $10 million through the alleged scheme.

The Most Wanted Fraudsters List was created to bring greater public awareness to significant fraud cases and encourage the public to help law enforcement locate suspects who remain at large.
Anyone with information about Burns’ whereabouts or other individuals featured on the list is encouraged to submit a tip to the FBI.
The FBI says fraud crimes continue to have a devastating financial impact on victims across the country, making public assistance a valuable tool in locating wanted suspects.
