LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) shared a safety message on Tuesday, March 31, ahead of prom and graduation season.

LCSO shared a reminder to parents and adults that hosting or allowing parties where alcohol is served to minors is illegal.

LCSO said providing alcohol to anyone under the age of 21 or allowing it to happen on your property is a criminal offense. Offenders will face charges if caught.

Officials will be monitoring for these violations during prom and graduation season, according to LCSO.

The sheriff’s office said this about ensuring safety, accountability and protecting young people in the community.
