L.A. COUNTY, Calif. (Gray News) – Authorities in California have released the cause of death for Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner Wednesday.
The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office labeled both deaths as homicides.
Reiner’s cause of death was due to multiple sharp force injuries. Singer Reiner’s cause of death was also due to multiple sharp force injuries.
Reiner and Singer Reiner were found dead in their L.A. County home on Sunday afternoon. Reiner was 78 years old. His wife was 68.
Prosecutors charged the pair’s son, 32-year-old Nick Reiner, in their deaths Monday.
Reiner was a beloved actor turned director who starred in sitcom “All in the Family” before going on to direct classic films like “The Princess Bride,” “Stand by Me,” “Misery” and numerous others.
Their deaths have shocked the Hollywood and Democratic political communities, where both were widely beloved.
