ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -
TODAY/TONIGHT: Severe weather threat is over for the rest of the day. A few showers and maybe a rumble of thunder are likely east and along I-75 as we head through the rest of your afternoon, but nothing severe is expected.
Temperatures drop into the 40s heading into your late afternoon and evening, and overnight they continue to drop to near freezing. Compared to yesterday’s high of 82, tonight temperatures will drop 50 degrees below that. Wind chills will be in the 20s. Protect the 4 P’s (Pipes, Plants, Pets, People).
TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY: Wintry cold lingers through this time frame. Afternoon highs on Tuesday will be in the 50s with sunny skies. Tuesday night will feature another round of freezing temps in the upper 20s and low 30s. Highs warm to around 60 by Wednesday, with a near freezing night likely Wednesday night.
END OF WEEK: Rain looks pretty scarce, and temperatures will be warming up. We steadily warm to above average by the weekend, with highs back into the 80s.
