BLACKSHEAR, Ga. (WALB) - The owner of a handyman services business in Blackshear stands accused of fraud, theft and forgery following a Georgia Bureau of Investigation probe.

A GBI news release announced the arrest of Amanda “Amy” Gambrell, 51, of Blackshear. The owner of ACE Handyman Services is charged with seven counts of financial transaction card fraud, four counts of theft by taking, one count of first-degree forgery, one count of deposit account fraud and one count of criminal attempt to commit theft.

The GBI said it became involved in an investigation into Gambrell on March 11, 2026, after a request from the Blackshear Police Department.

The investigation remains active, the GBI said, and agents ask anyone with information about the case to contact the GBI Office in Douglas at (912) 389-4103.
