COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A South Georgia church helped five women publish their first-ever books, with the official release set for January 1. The goal of the books is to remind others, “you are not where you come from.”

Two of the books were written by a mother and daughter, sharing their story across generations. Pastor Sidney Bryant said the Lord told him he can’t be the only one in the ministry producing, so he was then instructed to challenge the entire congregation to write their first book.

“ I challenged them to write their first book, and before the new year that completed it. It is something God led me to do, because I couldn’t be the only one with content. Said Pastor Bryant, ”We want people to know you are not where you come from. It’s important to have your own identity.”

The ministry has already released three films (Grace to Forgive, Redwood, and Because You Answered) on Amazon Prime and Tubi, with three more planned by 2027. Leaders also confirmed they will release a New movie early next year, and two additional film productions will begin this summer.
