TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred outside Governor’s Square Mall, according to TPD.

Tallahassee Online Police Statistics (TOPS) says the shooting was reported just before 3 p.m Saturday.

The mall was temporarily locked down but is now resuming operations. There are reportedly no known injuries.

Witness Addelynn Marsh, who was inside the mall during the incident, said she and her sister had to hide inside bathroom stalls.

“Very scary, people were yelling and screaming and running, we had to hide in the stall,” Marsh said. “A nice man let us in; if not, we would have been stuck in the hallway.”

Tallahassee Police vehicles were seen at and around the mall’s underground parking garage. Marsh recalled seeing many people running.

“Scared, worried because they couldn’t find people they were looking for, just everything,” the witness said.

Police say this is an active investigation. They ask that anyone who may have been a witness call 850-891-4200 or, if they’d like to remain anonymous, call Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS.
