MOULTRIE, Ga. (WALB) - One person is dead after a car accident in Colquitt County.
The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said at around 3:50 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, troopers went to the intersection of State Route 35 and State Route 33 for a crash.
The accident involved a sedan and a semi-truck.
According to Coroner Verlyn Brock, the driver of the sedan has died.
GSP identified the driver as Kennajia Artheria Jaleah Seay, 19.
A GSP report says Seay was headed north on SR 35 and trying to make a left turn onto SR 33. At the same time, a semi-truck was headed south on SR 35.
The report says that the semi hit the passenger’s side of Seay’s vehicle with its front.
After the impact, both vehicles went off the roadway and entered the ditch in the southwest corner of the intersection.
Seay was pronounced dead at the scene, according to GSP.
GSP is investigating along with the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office and the Moultrie Police Department.
