ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -

OVERVIEW: Above average temperatures with little rainfall is expected this week. Ongoing drought conditions will worsen more through the upcoming week.

TONIGHT-MONDAY: Fairly stable weather pattern during this time frame. Overnight lows will be in the 50s, while highs on Sunday and Monday reach into the mid-upper 80s. Patchy fog is expected in the mornings and then sunny skies take over.

Haze and smoky conditions are possible due to the enhanced risk for fires (derived from our ongoing drought and unseasonably warm temperatures). Areas surrounding any potential fires will face much lower air quality, which could be harmful to some individuals. Smoke could mix in with fog in the morning creating Super Fog, which is an even denser type of fog. Outdoor burning is not advised.

TUESDAY: Cooler and cloudy, and the only day we could see rain. This is the most uncertain part of the 7 Day Forecast. Models disagree with how much cooler we get, and the rain forecast is low for now, but I could see the rain chances changing once our high-resolution models get into range. For now, the umbrellas do not look mandatory for your Tuesday, but you might want to have them nearby, just in case. High temperatures look to be in the upper 60s in the northern counties increasing to the 70s in our southern counties.

WEDNESDAY-END OF WEEK: Hopping back on to the Warm Up Train. Highs are in the mid 70s Wednesday and look to make run towards 90 on Friday. Rain chances look pretty much zero during this time frame.
