VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - On Thursday, Jan. 15, the Valdosta Police Department’s K9 unit and Narcotics Detectives investigated a complaint of narcotics sales from a residence in the 600 block of North Troup Street.
Officials say that during the investigation, Roy Edward Williams, Jr., 26, was found to have an active arrest warrant unrelated to this case. Williams was reportedly taken into custody without incident.
The following items were found inside Williams’ residence, according to the Valdosta PD:
- Two handguns
- Rifle
- Quantity of marijuana packaged for sale
- Tools indicative of narcotics sale
Officials say Williams was transported to Lowndes County Jail. In addition to his active arrest warrant, Williams is facing charges of:
- Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute- felony;
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Possession of drug-related objects- misdemeanor.
This case is still under investigation.
