Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - No Halloween tricks but a spooky start with low clouds, patchy fog and mild 60s. Much brighter as clouds thin for a sun/cloud mix as dry conditions prevail. Rather toasty low-mid 80s keep temperatures about 10°-15° above average. Thursday evening remains a treat, fair and warm as temperatures fall into the 70s. Definitely costumes won’t need extra covering for warmth. Have fun and be safe.
Looking ahead more of the same as the unseasonably warm air and the extended dry stretch continues into next week. No fanfare for the weekend through Election Day although record warmth possible as highs top upper 80s. Albany set a record high of 87° in 2003 on November 5th.
In the tropics, the hurricane season may have slowed down but it’s not over. The NHC has outlined an area of disturbed weather in the Caribbean with a 40% medium chance of developing over the next 7 days. For now it’s remains an area to watch. The next name on the list is Patty. Hurricane season runs through November 30th.
