West Palm Beach, Fla (CBS12) — The Atlantic remains busy and there are still multiple areas to keep an eye on in the tropics.
An area of low pressure in the Caribbean Sea is producing showers and storms.Conditions could support some development over the next few days, and a depression may develop as it heads northwest.Right now it has a 10% to 40% chance of development through the next two to seven days.
We will monitor this area closely because of where it is. As of now it's nothing to panic about and may just bring an increased rain chance to the state of Florida this weekend and early next week.
The next area is in the eastern Atlantic. Invest 91-L is starting to organize a bit more and a depression is likely to develop within a few days.
This area is likely to stay out to sea and won't threaten us.
Right now it has an 80 % to 90% chance of development through the next two to seven days.Joyce, in the central Atlantic, has dissipated.
Tropical Storm Kirk is still in the eastern Atlantic and will likely continue to strengthen through the week. However, it will not be a threat and will curve out to sea.
The next name on the list for the season is Leslie.
Hurricane Season ends on Nov. 30.
