ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -The city of Albany will activate Operation Safe Place to provide people in need with a warm place to stay overnight.
According to the current forecast, freezing temperatures are expected overnight from Friday, Nov. 29 through Tuesday, Dec. 3.
The warming center will be set up at the Albany Transit Center located at 300 West Oglethorpe Boulevard. It will open its doors between 6:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. from Friday to Tuesday.
The Transit Center will be open to the public for the start of business at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
